Bog Dog Blog 21st September

Sorry that the news is late this week, Don and I took our last trip for this year in the Camper Van, we went to Sutton-on Sea where Buddy had a lovely week with long walks on the beach and swims in the sea, we made a detour to Metheringham on the way home to see Chris & Keith Attwood’s litter of puppies.

News from Ireland that Remix went Reserve Best in Show at the Irish Native Breeds Show she was bred in the UK by Pat Wake and Shirley Whitwell and is owned by Heather, Norman and Coleen Large

I understand at Darlington Championship Show that conditions were very muddy, IWS did not have CC on offer but had an entry of 12 with 4 being absent on the day the judge was Colin McKay   Best Dog and Best of  Breed was Malanis Dudley owned by Lisa Walker, Reserve Best Dog was Antdela Oleander owned by Ant Andrews  Best Bitch  Antdela Alantra Sh Ch owned by Ant Andrews and Reserve Best Bitch was Malanis Betts owned by Hannah Cooper.  Ollie won the special class for the Reserve Best Opposite Sex Non CC Winners and gained some prize money for Ant not to be overshadowed by her kennel mate Alantra won 3rd place in the Open Stakes. Well done to all.

Also at Darlington the breed was represented in the Vulnerable Breed activities by Pat Wake and her dog.

At Darlington our Secretary Chris Attwood was showing her young new Chinese Crested Puppy, Souldrop Chinese Whispers. She won the Minor Puppy Dog Class then took part in the Hills Minor Puppy Stakes where there was an entry of 27 all of which were present; she came 3rd. well done Chris. The judge for the Breed Classes was Brenda Banbury, and the Minor Puppy Stakes Judge was  Christina Chapman.

This weekend was Driffield  Championship Show, again IWS did not have any CC on offer , the breed was judged by Liz Brown (Mweenish)  there was an entry of 11 dogs for Liz to go over, with  only a few being absent, Best Dog and Best of Breed was Malanis Dudley owned by Lisa Walker, Reserve Best Dog was Fynder Sea Biscuit of Glenderry owned by Vicki Norman Massa, Best Bitch was Fynder Jazz of Lights owned by Brenda Triffitt, and Reserve Best  Bitch was Malanis Cara owned by Mrs Bannister

Just a reminder that the entries for the Open Show close on Monday 29th September, after judging, Greg Siner has agreed to have an audience with him where he will be pleased to answer any questions from members present. Having heard Greg speak twice in America I must say that he is very entertaining speaker.

The IWSA have arranged a seminar in November, I will give more details next week.
