Bog Dog Blog April 12th

News from from Hazel Walker that on Saturday 4th April, she took Malanis Cian at Ameysford JW (Rio) to the Extonian Open Show where he won Best AVNSC Gundog under Kim Parris (Bonario) he then went on to win Gundog Group 2 from a total of 18 Best of Breeds. The following day they went to the Chippenham Open Show where Rio again won Best AVNSC under Mrs L Harper (Pitswarren) and then went on to win Gundog Group 4 from a total of 12 Best of Breeds, congratulations to Hazel and Rio.

News from Ireland where this weekend the Combined Canine Club Easter Intl Championship Dog Show took place. IWS had class’s and the Green Star/CACIB & Best Of Breed went to Fynder Shiffing Ground owned By Joe Caulfield and Joanne Furlong the judge was Mrs D Baldwin, this made him an Ir Sh Champion, he then went on to win 2nd place in Group 8 under Mr A Cuccillato (Italy). The bitch GS/CACIB was won by Gatewood Invitation From Colleenville owned by Heather, Norman and Coleen Large. Best Puppy in the breed with “Very Promising” from Puppy Dog was Doonbeg Leap of Faith at Currabell (Rosso)  owned by Emer Mooney. Rosso then went on to win Best Puppy in Group 8 under Mr Cuccillato and then 4th in Best Puppy in Show under Cathy Delmar (Ireland), under FCI Rules Rosso could not compete for the Green Star or CACIB.  I am sure that Emer along with Jo and Joanne must have been absolutely thrilled with their success.

At the East Anglian  Dog Show IWS were judged by Graham Stirk (Grakar). Best Puppy at his first show was Doonbeg Meant to Be (Drue) owned by Sharon Peck and Alan Spinks, Best of Breed was Foulby Phoenix via  Sandvika owned by Mrs Hales with Reserve BOB going to Currabell Tamarisk owned by Maria Kimber.

Chris Atwood was unable to take Mikey to the Chinese Crested Championship Show on Saturday  but was thrilled when the first Doonbeg bred  Chinese Crested  ever to be shown won best Puppy Dog at the show.

I have had problems with the computer this week so if any of you have sent me e-mails and I have not replied in may be because I had a virus, only just got it cleared, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that everything is now okay.

I hope you all have had a nice Easter Weekend, keep the news coming.
