I have been informed that in the IWS breed notes in Dog World recently the date of the MEMBERS ONLY SPECIAL WATER PICNIC was 14th June, just to confirm that it will take place on SATURDAY 13TH June.

It has recently been brought to my attention that some of you feel that this column should be for IWS news only, my own personal thoughts is that it is a news column for IWS owners and I am happy to print any news that is sent to me by any members, if any of you reading this have any thoughts on this perhaps you would like to give me some feedback on this matter.
At Boston Show last Wednesday, Mikey owned by Chris & Keith Attwood won the Toy Group.
This weekend in Ireland at the Kennel Club Special Crufts Qualifying Show for Native Irish Breeds, IWS were judged by Mr N Waters I do not have all the details but Best Dog and Best of Breed was Fynder on Shifting Ground owned by Joe Caulfield and Joanne Furlong and Best Bitch was Malanis Cara owned by Mrs Bannister I will give details of the other winners at this and the other shows that took place over this weekend next week.

Don and I have had a trip down memory lane  this last week, we took our Grandaughters to Pontins holiday camp at Brean Sands, Somerset, the last time we were there was in 1981 when we met Rosemary Western and brought our first IWS, Ernwood Finn, little did we know what we were letting ourselves into!!
