Bog Dog Blog 20th September 2009
Debbie Robinson has e-mailed asking me to remind you all of the next mingle she has organized, it will take place on Saturday 3rd October anyone attending should meet in the car park of the Telegraph Pub, Telegraph Road Putney Heath London SW15 3TU at 10.45 ready for a 11.00 o’clock departure, Debbie would appreciate if you are going if you could contact her on debsrobuk@yahoo.com or 01243 389005 to let her know.

I have been contacted by a few people after reading the IWS breed notes in Our Dogs this week, asking how one gets an invitation to any future IWS get togethers, as this event was not organized by the Association, I would suggest that anyone who is interested in any future get together should contact the organizer Mrs Elizabeth Cooper direct.

The same breed notes mentioned about an IWS recently re-homed by Neil and Eileen Hume, Chris Attwood has contacted me and asked me to clarify that it was a tip of from a very kind member of the public who alerted her to this poor bitches plight, she contacted Neil Hume who agreed to go along to the RSPCA Kennels to access her and she is absolutely delighted that Neil and Eileen have decided to keep her, so a happy ending all round.

Congratulations to Sharon Peck and Lily who have just won their Gold KC Good Citizens Award.

News from Vibeke Sandberg who has e-mailed from Denmark, Doonbeg Rare Flair, (Truffle)has been having a very successful time recently, on August 16th at the Bjerke Travbabe show under Canadian Judge Virginia Lyne Truffle won BOB, CACIB, CC and was thereby a Norwegian & Nordic Champion. Last weekend they went to Sofiero Castle in Sweden at the National Show there Truffle met German Judge Hassi Assenmacher-Feyel who gave him BOB and in Vibeke’s words, “one of the excellent critiques he has ever received” then on Sunday 14th September it was Discovering Dogs Day in Tivol in Copenhagen, in the Old Funfair Garden, the only day in the year when dogs are allowed there, Vibeke was delighted to be invited to represent the breed in the parade of dogs.

This weekend was Darlington Championship Dog Show IWS’s did  have classes but no CC’s on offer but there were 8 entries with one absent on the day, Best of Breed and Best Dog was Sh Ch Antdela Oleander owned by Ant Andrews, Best Bitch was Malanis Cara owned by Mrs Christine Bannister and Best Puppy was Stanegate Speak For Freedom owned by Lisa Walker.

Congratulations to Chris and Keith Attwood and Souldrop Chinese Whispers ( Mikey) who today at Darlington from an entry of 77 won his third CC thus making him a Show Champion (subject to KC approval) and he is not two years old yet,  Mikey is Chris & Keith’s first Chinese Crested Show Champion.

Keep the news coming I will be delighted to mention anything you send me.
